UIST Dhaka celebrated International Women's Day 2017

UIST Dhaka celebrated International Women's Day 2017 on 08 March 2017 through an event organized by the institute at its campus with the presence of students, staff and UIST Management committee members. Students participated in quiz competition related to women's achievements and success in different fields around the world. UIST students also performed cultural activities at the event. Historical importance of this day has been shared with the audience and members of UIST Management committee delivered speech and distributed prizes among the Quiz competition winners. One Chobi-Chondo photograph was handed over as a token to UIST Dhaka by Mr. Zaki Hasan, President, UIST Management Committee and CEO, UCEP Bangladesh. There are 12 photographs of Chobi-Chondo, which are pictorial presentation of women's contribution in the development of Bangladesh and all these will be displayed later in UIST campus area. 

UIST Dhaka observed International Mother Language Day 2017


Students, Staff and Management Committee Members of UIST Dhaka observed the International Mother Language Day 2017  on 22 February 2017 through various activities like participating in cultural event organized by KiK-UCEP Hesamuddin School at Mohammadpur Dhaka. The students performed in the cultural activities organized by the school and then all went to the central Shahid Minar to pay floral wreath to the language martyrs.

Grand Niece of Nobel Prize Winner Nelson Mandela visited UIST Dhaka on 24 Nov 2016


Ms. Linda Nada, Grand Niece of Nobel Prize Winner, Leader and former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela visited UIST Dhaka on 24 Nov 2016. She talked with the students regarding Nelson Mandela and how he fought for the rights of the black people of South Africa. Students of UIST Dhaka also shared the history of Bangladesh's liberation war. President and other Members of UIST Management Committee and Principal and students of UIST Dhaka were present at the event. UIST Dhaka students performed a song in the honour of Nelson Mandela.

Badminton Tournament 2016


UIST Dhaka organized Badminton Tournament 2016 for the students from 7-14 November 2016. 66 Students participated in the tournament. The tournament was organized as a part of extra-curricula activities of the students.  The prize distribution ceremony was held among the winners on 14 November 2016 in the presence of Prof. M. Hafizul Islam, Member, UCEP Association and Member of UIST Recruitment Committee, Mr. Zaki Hasan, President, UIST Management Committee along with other Members of the committee, students and staff of UIST Dhaka.

Picnic of UIST-Dhaka

UIST Dhaka organized a picnic for the students and staff on 17 November 2016 at Nondon Park, Savar. The students and staff had a great day at the amusement park where they enjoyed different rides of Nondon Park and Water Kingdom. The picnic was organized as a part of the institution's various activities for recreation of the students and staff.

UIST Dhaka organized a discussion meeting on 03 September 2016 regarding Anti-Terrorism with the presence of its' staff and student along with the staff and students of UCEP Mirpur Technical School, Dhaka at UISt campus at Mirpur, Dhaka. Mr. M. Hafizul islam, Professor, Institute of Social Welfare & Research, University of Dhaka and Member UIST Recruitment Committee and UCEP Association was present as Chief Guest of the occasion.


UIST Dhaka inaugurated 2nd Batch on 16 Aug 2016


UIST Dhaka organized an inauguration ceremony to start its 2nd Batch for 2016-2017 Session today on 16 August 2016 at it's Campus at Mirpur, Dhaka. Mr. Md. Ashadul Islam, Director General, NGO Affairs Bureau, Prime Minister’s Office, Government of the people’s Republic of Bangladesh was present at the occasion as the Chief Guest. Among others, Mr. Zaki Hasan, President, UIST Management Committee and CEO UCEP Bangladesh, UCEP Board and Association Members, Members of Employers Committee, UIST Management Committee Members, Students of UIST 1st and 2nd Batch, Principal and Staff of UIST Dhaka were present. The program was chaired by Mr. M. Mokammel Hoque, Ex-Chairperson, UCEP BoG and Member UCEP Association.

Industry Visits and Semester Closing Ceremony of 1st Batch Students’ of UIST

Students of UIST 1st Batch had a visit to Industry to gain practical knowledge about the workplace environment on 30 January 2016. Total 68 participants’ including 36 students of UIST visited the factory of My One Electronics Ltd. at Gazipur Dhaka. They also visited UCEP Gazipur Technical School and had a brief introduction about UCEP program, they were informed about industrial safety and importance of Industry visits. Students also enjoyed games and cultural programs after the visit.
